I’ve been keen to get into Aeronautica Imperialis for a while. There’s something about those tiny planes that really appeals to me (not quite as much as tiny tanks, but that’s another story). I recently purchased the Wings of Vengeance starter box, and within a matter of days I’ve finished building and painting the Ork Flyboyz that come in the box. I love ‘em!
Whilst aerial battles may not seem like an obvious fit for narrative play and customised characters, the fact that an Aeronautica Imperialis squadron can field a single ‘ace’ pilot does open up some interesting possibilities, which I’ll be exploring to the fullest as I get deeper into the game. For now, I couldn’t resist putting together this ork ace name generator, and it was loads of fun to make. Orks is orks after all.
